Know Your Status

Everyone should know their HIV status. The CDC recommends that everyone between thirteen and sixty-four receive a routine HIV test. There are two reasons to know your HIV status: if you’re negative, stay negative! If you’re positive, you can access care and treatment and avoid transmitting the virus to others.

Visit your doctor to request an HIV test or locate an HIV testing site near you at www.hivtest.org. Many states offer the test to pregnant woman routinely and churches are increasingly offering testing. Saddleback Church offers HIV testing at its Lake Forest campus, contact hiv@saddleback.com to learn more.
